William and Dorothy O'Neill Professor at the University of Notre Dame, and had a long relationship with the Cleveland Fed. Tim was one of the most enthusiastic human beings I have ever met. He did pathbreaking work on liquidity effects, and his joint work with Chuck Carlstrom at the Cleveland Fed was very influential. It's tragic to lose such a productive researcher and teacher at the peak in his career. Here's an article on Tim in the University of Chicago Magazine.
